Longfield is a school well equipped for the twenty first century. It embraces the latest technological advances with an interactive whiteboard in every classroom and over 500 computers to help provide a stimulating education. In 2008 Longfield spent £300,000 on infrastructure and equipment to continue its ICT revolution for which it has gained several national awards for demonstrating good practice in the use of ICT.
Specialist Music, Science and Technology rooms have recently been refurbished and equipped at a cost of £200,000. This work compliments the school PE area which reflects our Sports College status and includes a dance studio and an ICT suite/conference room.

Longfield School's achievements have also been widely recognised. The school has attained the following national and international awards: Recognition for its Student Voice / School Council; The School Achievement Award; Sports Mark by Sport England; Specialist College Status; Best Whole School Use of ICT; The International Schools Award; 21st Century Learning Alliance Accreditation
